“I’ve not been contacted for Paiyya”: Trisha

The two hotties of Kollywood Trisha and Nayanthara are always in the news for wrong reasons.

Be it Kuruvi or Sathyam, the two gorgeous ladies were in the news for their cat fights and replacing each other. Just like it takes a drop of oil to get the fire going and the media is waiting to blow things out of proportion.

After Nayanthara, decided not to be a part of Lingusamy’s Paiyya, a section of the media has reported that Trisha has replaced her!

But when contacted, Trisha said: “I have not even been contacted by Lingusamy or his brother the producer. In fact, I have done two films under his direction and he is a good friend. I just can’t figure out how this news came about!”

Trisha is just back from Krabi Islands in Thailand after the song shoot of her Telugu biggie with Nagarjuna titled King which is getting ready for release this month end. By December 10, she will join Gautham Menon’s Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam unit.

When asked if she will do Paiyyaif it comes her way, a role rejected by Nayan Trisha is quick to say: “Why not? I am a professional and would love to do it, if I have dates and the script excites me”.

Meanwhile the grapevine has it that an effort has been made to bring back Nayanthara to the project, which has not succeeded so far. Watch this space.

Arjun- Back to back releases

Action King Arjun will be having back to back releases this month. In a way it is unique but also puts a lot of pressure on the actor, as both the films will eat into each other’s collection.

The first of the block is Bharathiraja’s Bommalattam, in which Arjun plays a CBI officer investigating a murder. It is said to be a slick thriller and releases on December 12.

A week later Arjun will be playing a local cable TV operator who locks horns with a powerful politician in Perarasu directed mass masala film Thiruvannamalai.

In the film Arjun does what all mass hero’s does- mouthing punch line dialogues , fighting and dancing. The film releases on Dec 19.

In fact, Arjun badly needs a hit, especially after Dorai’s lukewarm response at the box-office a few weeks back.

Vadivel declares war on Vijaykanth!

Vadivel is said to have spoofed the politician Vijaykanth in his latest film Ellam Avan Seyal.

In the film he played a bumbling politician who just does not get his act together.

At the success meet of the film Vadivel said: “I’m still getting threatening calls from Vijaykanth and his men, but I have not reported it to the police.”

Remember a few months back Vijaykanth fans had stoned Vadivel’s house in Saligramam, which led to the comedian filing a case against the actor turned politician.

Added Vadivel : ” I will personally campaign against all Vijaykanth candidates in the next elections. I’m sure people will listen to me, as I have no politics and do not want to be an MP or MLA.”
